Tranquility Ranch
Tranquility Ranch hosts healthy populations of renewable wildlife. Our huntable mammals include wild hogs, deer, coyote, bobcat, beaver, coon, 'possum, nutria, otter, squirrel, rabbit and fox. Ducks include nine varieties so far: mallard, widgeon, greenwing teal, redhead, wood duck, Mexican whistler, hooded merganser, gadwall and ringneck. The Texas Parks and Wildlife released ninety three wild turkeys onto the neighbor's land in 2008. We have sighted a few, but agreed with a coalition of landowners to protect them for five years in order to let them get established. Altogether, the Tranquility Ranch is a land rich in wildlife and full of great beauty.

Deer are abundant on the Tranquility Ranch. Each year our family and friends get the opportunity to come together and participate in this event. Please click on the album to catch a glimpse into the Tranquility Ranch action.The beautiful Tranquility Ranch provides a variety of waterfowl. During season we will hunt various locations on the ranch, including a 60 Acres Swamp. Please click the Duck Hunts picture to see some of our results. Hog hunting is a big part of the Tranquility Ranch experience. The Ranch has a large and neverending supply of pigs. We regularly host dog hunts to kill these pigs with spears, but our favorite method is to stalk them on foot in the dark with shotguns and flashlights.
